Multi-Pleat XL-8 (MERV 8) (1” Nominal Depth), Engineering Specification
1.General
- Filter shall be the Multi-Pleat SC XL-8 extended surface pleated air filter manufactured by Koch Filter
- Filters shall be available in standard capacity pleat configuration with a depth of 1” (nominal – 3/4” actual)
- Filters shall be classified UL and cUL per the UL 900 Standard
2.Filter Materials and Construction
- Media shall be 100% The media will not support microbial growth.
- Media laminated to corrosion resistant expanded
- Frame shall be a heavy duty, high strength, moisture resistant paperboard (24 point) double wall construction with an integral die-cut faceguard on the air entering and air leaving sides to prevent movement and protect the media pack and ensure media pack integrity during shipping and actual
- The media pack shall be secured within the frame with an adhesive sealant to ensure leak free

3.Filter Performance
- Filters shall be a MERV 8 when tested in accordance with the ASHRAE 2-2007 Test Standard
- Filter shall have a low initial pressure drop that shall not exceed 0.26” W.G. at an air flow rate of 300
- Filters shall be rated to withstand a continuous operating temperature of 200”F (93”C)
- Filters shall have a recommended final resistance of 1.0” W.G
