Description
Firetrol® FTA576E Jockey Pump Controllers are intended for use with fire pump systems. These controllers feature Wye-Delta Open Transition Starting. They are used for pressure maintenance in fire pump installations to prevent unnecessary operation of the main fire pump.
FTA576E Jockey Pump Controllers use Wye-Delta Open Transition Starting which reduces motor current. When starting the motor will be connected in a wye configuration and draw approximately 33% of its normal inrush current and develop approximately 33% of its normal starting torque. After a time delay, the motor is automatically reconnected in delta, applying full voltage to the motor windings.
