Colourlock Stitch Repair Gel – 20 ml

Stitch-Covering Gel from Colourlock is used to cover contrasting stitches prior to leather colouring. The stitching in furniture upholstery and car leather often contrasts with the base colour – dyeing these leather items while preserving the original stitch colouring can be a challenge, but with this product and a steady hand, it can be done.

Unlike tapes, the gel covers only the area that is not to be dyed, wrapping completely around the thread and the dye cannot seep through the edges. Wait until the gel is dry; this can take up to 6 hours, or 1 to 2 minutes when using a hair dryer at about 130℃. Leather can be dyed normally with Leather Fresh or Leather Colour / Top Coat. Simply peel off the gel after use.
